Financial Focus: American Airlines changing service animal policy

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — In today's Financial Focus, we have a check of the stock market and the stocks with ties to Las Vegas.

Also, American Airlines is changing its service animal policy. Starting next week the company will no longer allow emotional support animals. The Department of Transportation defines a service animal as a dog that is trained to help someone with a disability. American says starting Jan. 11 it won't allow travel for animals that do not meet that definition.

Have you shopped on Amazon lately? You're not the only one. The folks at Amazon want to make sure they can keep up with our spending by spending a pretty penny themselves on 11 new Boeing 767s. The planes will be joining the Amazon Air cargo network between this year and next year. The company also has some aircraft they bought from WestJet and Delta that are being changed from passenger to cargo planes.
