Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash Saturday morning in Pahrump.
The crash occurred around 10:35 a.m. at Blue Diamond Road, also known as State Route 160, and Bell Vista Avenue. NHP reported that a Hyundai Santa Fe van was struck as it turned in front of a Ford Excursion.
The Hyundai had 5 occupants, three who were transported to local Mountain Vista Hospital and 1 was life-flighted to University Medical Center in critical condition.
A female in the van was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as 61-year-old Zhongping Zhou from Beijing, China.
The Ford had 3 male occupants, who were all transported to Mountain Vista Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There have been 51 deaths from crashes this year in the Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command's jurisdiction.
