A Las Vegas family is still reeling over the death of a toddler killed in a hit-and-run crash back in October.

19-month-old Jaheim Heath was hit and killed when he was playing in the street.

"How can a person just a hit a baby like a dog and just keep going like what type of person are you?" asked Jaheim's Grandma Darnesha Heath.

Darnesha Heath was not there the day of the fatal crash. Police say Jaheim was at his mom's house when he slipped out the front door with no supervision.

Police are stumped because the only witnesses to the crash inside the apartment complex near Cheyenne and Nellis were children. They gave conflicting reports of the vehicle involved.

Grandma Heath is not looking forward to Christmas.

"We didn't put up no Christmas tree," she said. "It's supposed to be cheers and be jolly but it's sadness for me."

Heath remembers the last time she saw her grandson.

"I remember putting him to sleep...rubbing his back and rubbing his stomach."

No one has been arrested for the fatal hit-and-run of little Jaheim.
