We are digging deeper to find out more about the woman police say is to blame for the death of one, and the injury of almost 40 others on the Las Vegas Strip in a dramatic crash.

Monday, we got our hands on a picture that gives us a face to put to the name, Lakeisha Holloway.

Among those speaking out about this woman: her own family.

Action News has learned that Holloway has now been placed on suicide watch. That's according to her public defender.

Right now, we are trying to speak with her in person. We've put in that jailhouse interview  request.

In the meantime, we've been speaking with family members.

Holloway's cousin telling Action News she's a "very good person."

The family can't believe this happened.

They say this is a tragic situation, and they're praying for all the victims.

We were also told they're upset about the media's coverage of this story. We learned that Holloway's mother booked a flight into Vegas early Monday morning.

It's unclear whether she'll first visit her daughter who is being held without bail, or her 3-year-old granddaughter who is in the custody of the county.
