LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A handful of downtown casinos opened their doors at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday.

Las Vegas locals like Brad Rzepka were excited to welcome gaming back to Nevada.

“We got off work a little late because we had to open our bars but after that was done, it was time to party,” Rzepka said.

Not everyone was a fan of the practice. One visitor from Colorado said she wouldn’t come back unless things change. She said partial closures made her visit difficult, taking four hours to find late night food.

“They tried to make it clean and things like that but scanning your wrist towards the thing to get your temperature is just ridiculous,” Zoe said.

Along the Fremont Street Experience, you’ll see crews fogging different areas. It’s a way to sanitize spots that are hard to reach.

Right now, you’re only allowed in if you’re over 21 and you’re asked to keep any backpacks at home. So far, that’s not stopping many people from having a good time.

“We are so happy that Vegas is reopening. We had so much fun. I love this city, it’s been good to be and I’ll support it forever,” Rzepka added.
