Donald Trump holds rally in Henderson

UPDATE: The Henderson rally drew around 7,000 people.
 

Donald Trump praised his running mate Mike Pence for his performance in Tuesday night's vice presidential debate and touched on his own achievements in Nevada.

"In our fabulous fabulous state that we all love. This is a special state," Trump said. "Certainly spent a lot of money on this state if it's not. And we have right down the road a very successful hotel, Trump International, and it's been great."

 
As Trump prepared for his campaign rally in Henderson, vendors and protestors gathered outside the Henderson Pavilion.

HENDERSON (KTNV) --- Donald Trump will campaign in Henderson on Oct. 5.
 
The event will take place at the Henderson Pavilion on 200 South Green Valley Parkway at 11:30 a.m.
 
Trump previously visited Las Vegas in August to meet with Hispanic leaders and small business owners. This time, he could be met with protestors - both NextGen Climate Nevada and Battle Born Progress plan to protest outside the rally. 
 
A RealClearPolitics average of the latest polls shows Trump trailing Hillary Clinton by less than a point in Nevada.
