The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spent several hours investigating a deadly crash Wednesday night.
It happened around 5:50 p.m. near Cheyenne and Buffalo.
Police said the driver of a minivan lost control and crossed several lanes of traffic.
The vehicle traveled up the sidewalk before striking a pole.
Investigators believe the crash was caused by a medical episode.
Sgt. Richard Strader said it was a miracle that no one else was injured.
This happened at a busy intersection during rush hour.
There is a lot of foot traffic in the area as well.
There was a passenger in the minivan.
That woman was able to safely steer the vehicle as to avoid another tragedy.
Action News has learned the woman was not injured.
The driver was pronounced dead at UMC trauma.
