David Bowie honored with tribute downtown

Fremont Street Experience, located in Downtown Las Vegas, honored music legend David Bowie with a video/pictorial retrospective on the Viva Vision canopy.
 
Bowie lost his battle with cancer at the age of 69.
 
Bowie had played in Las Vegas a total of three times including two shows at the Hard Rock a week apart in 2004.
 
In the past, Fremont Street Experience has paid tribute to B.B. King, Kerry Simon, Jerry Tarkanian, Nelson Mandela, Whitney Houston, Joan Rivers, Dick Clark, Tony Curtis, Jackie Gaughan, Danny Gans, Robert Goulet, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor.
 
The tribute took place at the top of every hour until midnight on Jan. 11.
