Las Vegas police have released the arrest report for the woman arrested for shooting her husband on Thanksgiving morning at a residence n Fullmoon Maple Avenue.

According to the report, Michelle Young reportedly shot her 58-year-old ex-husband after he told her "to go f*** myself."

The couple's son called 911 and told a dispatcher that his mother had just shot his father in the heart and she was still in the house.

When police officers arrived, they called for 53-year-old Michelle Young, who was upstairs. She came downstairs and was placed in custody. The officers then discovered Henry Bankey's body on a couch, partially covered with a blanket. He had been shot in the chest.

The son told police that his parents had been arguing about money for several days. The night before Thanksgiving they went out to dinner and came home around 10 p.m. Shortly before 4 a.m., Michelle Young knocked on her son's door and said she wanted to talk. The son asked if they could discuss it later. She left the room and about 5 minutes later, he heard a gunshot.

Young reportedly asked officers if her ex-husband was ok. When she was told that he was dead, Young repeatedly asked "Are you serious?"

Young also said "Alright well the love of my life is dead and I did it … I didn't mean to, and he was messing around and it's not fun, and this is horrible."

The woman was transported to police headquarters for further questioning. When a police detective asked her if she wanted an attorney, she replied yes and questioning was halted. She was transported to the Clark County Detention Center.
