EARLIER STORY

A woman says that a young man broke into her home while she was on vacation and the whole thing was caught on tape.

It happened at a residence near Cheyenne Avenue and Durango Drive in the middle of the day.

The suspicious man can be seen walking casually around the home. At one point, it is obvious that he sees the security camera and can even be seen swiping at one of the cameras.

The homeowner says that in addition to the cameras, there was also a dog in the home at the time and the radio was left on. However, that did not stop the thief.

The thief allegedly stole electronics from the home and also rummaged through the homeowner's jewelry.

A viewer emailed Action News shortly after the video was aired and said that she believes the young man is wearing shorts from Cimarron-Memorial High School.

According to the website CrimeMapping.com, there have been 3 reported crimes in the same area in the last week. Three of those were break-ins.

The homeowner is obviously shaken by the incident.

Anyone with information about the break-in should call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
