Las Vegas police surrounded a home in the 800 block of Beaver Brook Way early Thursday morning.
Police say that an elderly woman called police and said people were in her garage, trying to get into her home.
She also said that her car was stolen on the 18th and her garage opener was in it at the time and they may have been how the people gained access.
Police surrounded the home, which is located near Paradise Road and Windmill Lane.
A woman surrendered after about 30 minutes, but a man refused to come out.
Police eventually sent in a K9 officer.
The man was bitten during the arrest and was transported to University Medical Center to be checked out.
The incident began around 4:30 a.m.
