Nye County detectives are looking into reports of Anthony James Craighead, 29, soliciting sex from underage children over the internet.

During a conversation on April 8, Craighead is accused of attempting to lure a 15-year-old female into sexual activities at his Pahrump home via Facebook. During the conversation, Craighead told the teen to "sneak out of the house" and to not contact police because he'd "go to jail."

On April 11, Craighead made plans to pick up the juvenile in his truck and engage in sexual activities. Upon arrival, Craighead found a Sherrif's Office employee dressed as a decoy and was arrested on scene.

Craighead didn't deny contact with the child during his interview with detectives but did say that he was trying to "help" the child.

Craighead was booked into the Nye County Sheriff's Office Detention Center and is being held on $5,000 bail.
