Jane Coats has been released on $1,000 bail. Her first court date is set for 7:30 A.M. on August 28.

UPDATE ON JUNE 14: A Las Vegas man says he was punched by a woman on an American Airlines flight from Chicago to Las Vegas Tuesday night. 

Police arrested Jane Coats, 54, for assaulting a passenger, flight crew member and a Police Officer. 

Ryan Flanigan said he was the passenger sitting next to Coats when she began to yell at flight crew members. 

"She was belligerent the whole flight," Flanigan said.

Flanigan said his flight was on the tarmac waiting to take off when Coats started getting agitated and began yelling.

"She was going on about carbon monoxide poisoning, using foul language and talking about how Donald Trump's goin to fix everything," Flanigan said. 

Flanigan said when he told Coats to be quiet she began to yell at him. He said he tried to switch seats, but that's when Coats snapped and punched him. 

"I felt a knuckle across my eye," Flanigan said.

He said he also saw Coats "bodyslam" a flight attendant and get into altercations with other passengers. 

Police said Coats was subdue with zip ties by the flight crew. They believe she was under the influence of alcohol.

Coats has been released on bail in the amount of $1,000. She is scheduled to appear in court at 7:30 a.m.

ORIGINAL STORY: A woman assaulted a Las Vegas officer when she was taken off an American Airlines flight from Chicago to Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Las Vegas police confirm that during the flight to Las Vegas, the female assaulted another passenger and a flight crew member.

The plane landed at McCarran International Airport around 8:15 p.m. and police escorted her off the plane and placed her under arrest. She also reportedly assaulted an officer at that time.

Las Vegas police released her mug shot on Wednesday and identified her as Jane Coats.
