UPDATE 9 PM APRIL 5: The woman who was robbed at gunpoint outside of a bank is recalling the terrifying experience.

Elena Mata told 13 Action News that it happened around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday just outside the Bank of America near Town Center Drive and Summerlin Parkway. Inside her purse was not only all of her personal identification and credit cards but also cash in an envelope.

"I was making a deposit and then he just came from the back of my car," Mata said. "I didn't even see him, I didn't see anything."

She said he demanded her purse and she didn't give it to him fast enough.

"He just put a gun on my side over here and he said you want to die in here?" Mata said. "And I said no, no just wait and I just gave him my purse."

She has been working overtime saving that money for weeks so that she can visit her mother in Mexico for Mother's Day. While the money being gone is upsetting, Mata said the suspect took something she can never get back.

"Money just I can work more hours and I can get it back but what he really took for me was my security that I have," she said.
