A man accused of attacking a mannequin that was made to look like a sleeping homeless man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder.
Shane Schindler is seen smashing the dummy's head with a four-pound hammer. Prosecutors argued it was important for Schindler to know he was hitting a mannequin and not a real person.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 24.
