Sanchez told police officers that he would take the officers to a "little kid" that was in an alley if they provided him water.

Around an hour later officers found the victim covered in blood at a homeless camp near Judson Avenue and Sloan Lane. Condoms were also found on scene, according to Sanchez's arrest report. More than 40 items of evidence were taken from the area.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center with a collapsed lung, internal bleeding, signs of strangulation, fractures to his nose, ribs, skull, and jaw, and a metal object in a part of his brain. The victim was also reportedly raped.

It was later determined that the victim is a 25-year-old man, according to police.

When Sanchez arrived at Las Vegas police headquarters, he was uncooperative, erratic and incomprehensible and could barely stand, according to his arrest report.

Sanchez was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count each of attempted murder and sexual assault.
