A local McDonald's near Lone Mountain Road and Decatur Boulevard was robbed early Thursday morning.
Police say that the thief entered through a back door and snuck up on an employee.
The robber pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money.
He was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money from a cash register.
Police are now searching for the thief.
The incident happened just before 5 a.m. No customers were in the fast-food restaurant at the time. The employee was not hurt.
