Henderson police trying to ID body found in 1980

Henderson police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the body of a white female found in Henderson 35 years ago Monday.

Jane Arroyo Grande Doe was found just south of State Route 146, west of Arroyo Grande Boulevard, in Henderson on Oct. 5, 1980.

She had light brown shoulder-length hair, pierced ears and blue eyes. She had a small tattoo on her right forearm. The tattoo was blue and appeared to be homemade. She was wearing silver colored fingernail polish and had a vaccination scar on her left bicep. She had a gap between two teeth on the upper right side of her mouth.

She was between 14 to 25 years old, and approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and 103 pounds.
