City officials did a demonstration delivery Thursday morning. Watch a replay below.
The program is a partnership with Walmart, Quest Diagnostics, DroneUp and the City of North Las Vegas. Read more about it here.
HOW IT WORKS
The kits will be delivered to single-family homes within a 1-mile radius of the North Las Vegas Walmart at 1807 W. Craig Road, near Martin Luther King Boulevard. Drone deliveries will be available while supplies last every day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather and visibility permitting.
Once delivered, patients will perform a self-administered nasal swab in the privacy of their home, then ship the sample to a Quest Diagnostics lab using a provided pre-paid shipping envelope.
The person will receive his or her COVID-19 test results through the secure Quest Diagnostics MyQuest online portal or app.
