The pandemic has made more people want to learn a new language. Residents of the United Kingdom led the way in that surge.
U.S. company Duolingo says their numbers rose 67% worldwide last year but increased more than 130% in the United Kingdom.
Duolingo says Spanish is the most popular language, followed by French.
Berlin-based company Babbel saw an 80% increase in new users from the UK compared to its worldwide average of 50%.
