Legacy Traditional Schools confirms that persons affiliated with our campus have tested positive for COVID-19. As a precautionary measure, all of those who have been in close contact with these individuals have been advised to monitor for symptoms.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has determined that COVID-19 exposure risk begins when someone is within 6 feet of the infected person for 15 minutes or more. The agency also notes that infected people can spread the virus 48 hours before the onset of symptoms.

In preparation for the reopening of schools, we have established response protocols in the event of a positive COVID-19 case. This includes personnel decisions, in addition to safety and cleaning protocols which have been implemented.

In direct alignment with our established protocol, the school’s front office area, staff restrooms, breakroom and a science lab were closed for deep cleaning and sanitization, which are now complete.

Given these conditions, the school’s facility cleaning protocols, prevention and safety measures, along with necessary staff communication, were carried out in a thorough and timely manner.
