Free COVID-19 testing at Silverado High School on Nov. 5-6

Clark County and the Southern Nevada Health District will offer free COVID-19 testing on Nov. 5, and Nov. 6 at Silverado High School, 1650 Silver Hawk Ave., near Spencer St. and the I-215.

The walk-in site will be inside the school’s gym and will operate from 8 a.m. to noon, or while supplies last. Approximately 400 self-administered nasal swab tests will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is needed. Testing is open to anyone, with or without symptoms, including children and families.

Patients are asked to wear face coverings, and to bring photo identification and provide their phone numbers.

The Nevada National Guard and Global Medical Response ambulance company are assisting with the effort.

The Health District has a calendar posted in English and Spanish on its website that lists various testing dates and locations.

Additional neighborhood testing events are scheduled to occur on upcoming Thursdays and Fridays at Cheyenne High School, 3200 W. Alexander Road in North Las Vegas, Nov. 12 and 13; Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy (VTCTA), 2531 Vegas Drive, Nov. 19 and 20; and Centennial High School, 10200 Centennial Pkwy., Dec. 3 and 4.

The time for all events is 8 a.m. to noon except on Nov. 19 at VTCTA, which will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
