Ride sharing for grandparents that doesn't require smartphone

Posted at 1:34 PM, Oct 25, 2017

There's a new ride sharing service just for older people who do not have access to smartphones.

It is called GoGoGrandparent and it will take them to doctor appointments, hair salon visits and social events.

The service does not require a smartphone. Instead, riders call a 1-800 number.

One of the founders came up with the idea when his grandmother observed how much he used Uber and asked how she could use. When he responded that she needed a smartphone, she told him to create a company that had no such requirement.
