LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — What was once a vibrant street on the city's historic west side has become an area riddled with crumbling homes.

The decline of the city's west side looks irreversible to most locals. Mr. Curry knows the feeling all to well.

He's just one of many in jeopardy of losing their home to predatory lending and failed code violations.

Mr. Curry is an Army veteran who fell behind on the upkeep of his home and risked foreclosure after suffering a stroke.

After learning about Mr. Curry, the nonprofit group, Housing Assistance and A Solution Group, stepped in.

For weeks several in the community worked together to transform Mr. Curry's home.

Rebuilding Mr. Curry's home is funded entirely by the nonprofit.
