It could be bad news for those of you who are excited about the partial solar eclipse here in Las Vegas on Monday. It looks like it might be a bit cloudy and it could rain.

The chance of precipitation on Monday right now is about 40 percent.

It should be partly cloudy right around 9 a.m. when the eclipse begins. The eclipse will be at its peak at 10:27 a.m. The rain is predicted to begin around 11 a.m.

But, we still should be able to see some of the eclipse and if you have lived in Las Vegas for a while, you know that the weather here changes often and is often unpredictable.

The good news is that it will be a bit cooler. The high temperature for Monday is expected to be around 96 degrees. The normal high is 101 degrees.
