We’re not even two weeks removed from Halloween, but retailers already are trying push shopper into stores and online to get us to start buying for the holidays. Santa Claus even made an early stop at the Galleria Mall in Henderson nearly two weeks before Thanksgiving.
Of course, the kids think the holidays can’t arrive soon enough. Six-year-old Eddie Guerrido said “no.” It is never too early for the holidays.
But for some of the folks who shop for those gifts, they say slow your roll Santa.
“One thing at a time,” said Dana Roseman, who was out shopping for groceries at a local supermarket. When asked about the appropriate time to start thinking about the holidays, Roseman answered, “It should start the day after Thanksgiving like it always did when I was a little girl.”
Janice Walters said holiday shopping can wait.
“I try to ignore it but it’s hard,” Walters said.
