Donation bin holding children's clothing ransacked

A charity bin was ransacked Wednesday morning near Hacienda Avenue and Maryland Parkway.
The bin from Positively Kids, a local nonprofit organization, was collecting children's clothing. The door to the bin appeared to have been pried open.

"That's the donation bin to help poor kids needy families and then they drag it all out like this!" said Sonya Thomas, who lives nearby. "These people around here are just ugh."

Neighbors tried to put the donations back.

Even Positively Kids haven't seen cases like this.

"It really did just break all of our hearts when we saw it on the news this morning that someone had gotten in to it," said Michelle Gorelow.

Positively Kids is already taking action, replacing the wooden bins with metal ones, which are supposed to be sturdier, making it harder to break into.
