LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The annual consumer electronics show known as CES kicks off Jan. 8 in Las Vegas.
The massive show attracts hundreds of exhibitors and more than 150,000 attendees from around the world. It is considered the Super Bowl for geeks and nerds. McCarran Internation Airport has added approximately 100 flights to accommodate the influx of visitors.
The bulk of the show is located at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Several other Las Vegas Strip properties host smaller events during the four-day show.
This year's show is expected to feature new voice assistants and intelligent devices, robots, wellness tech such as smartwatches and fitness trackers, flexible and foldable devices, 8K televisions and insanely high-resolution displays, virtual reality, monster laptops, 5G (real and fake), the future of transportation (autonomous vehicles and things) and security and privacy providers.
A couple of the most highly-anticipated products include Samsung's transparent television named "The Window," a steering wheel with a touchscreen from the Chinese automaker Byton, and the voice-activated Numi toilet from Kohler, which costs $8,000.

The trade show is not open to the public but if you need to get somewhere near the convention or expo centers or even on the Las Vegas Strip, you are probably going to care that it is here.

Transportation officials are urging motorist to plan ahead.
Many of those attending do arrive at the convention center on a bus or in a ride-share or taxi, but there will still be many more vehicles on the streets in the area. And people who frequent the area will probably notice the traffic in the area and on the Las Vegas Strip increasing this weekend.
The heaviest traffic can be expected between 8 and 11 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. each day of the show.
