UPDATE AT 8:32 P.M.: It happens in just an instant. Two guys hustled toward a home on Montessouri Street and kicked in the front door.

Donald Johnson watched the video with 13 Action News of the burglars breaking into his home last month.

"It made me angry," Johnson says. "I never thought it would happen."

The first guy, wearing a gray T-shirt and dark pants, kicked at the door. He and his buddy appeared to get a little nervous and back-peddle. The crooks retreated. But they came back and ransacked Johnson's house. A guy wearing the red tank top walked out with what looks like a blue tool box.

"They were in and out of the house in 3 minutes," Johnson says.

The thieves hurried out after taking anything of value.

"Two laptops, an iPad, a handgun, some money, some jewelry," Johnson says. “Anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000."

The crooks took off in a white Ford Explorer.

It's the third time in the past few years crooks hit his house. Johnson installed his surveillance system after the second break-in, thinking that would solve the problem. He says he's going to take in tougher measures.

Tanya Goldberg lives a couple of doors away. She installed her own camera system after burglars broke into her home last year.

"I just wish people would respect other people's homes and property," Goldberg says.
