CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The retiring owner of a Carson City martial arts academy is handing the keys over to one of his students, who happens to be 14 years old.
The Nevada Appeal reported Saturday that Shawn Goodner, the longtime operator of No Limits Martial Arts Academy, is giving the business to Maddox Sweet. Sweet, who is a student at Carson High School, will run the school with some help from his mother.
Sweet is already teaching children at the martial arts academy.
In addition, the current instructing staff is staying put. Goodner says the teen has proved his expertise and earned the right to inherit the school.
