A number of students and teachers staged a protest outside Rancho High School Tuesday to raise support for the BRIDGE Act.
BRIDGE stands for Bar Removal of Individuals who Dream of Growing Our Economy. The act is considered to be a more permanent alternative to the DREAM Act.
The protesters say they're afraid President Trump will do away with the DACA.
"I have a few friends that are DREAMers and they have DACA and everything, and they're scared honestly. They're scared. Right now trump is saying that DACA is fine, that he won't sign it off, but with him you never know what's going to happen," Monika Martinez said.
The protesters say they want supporters to write letters to Nevada's congressional representatives to support the state's immigrant population.
