A man was on the run from police around 3 a.m. Monday morning near Las Vegas and Silverado Ranch boulevards.
Police chased the man across the roof of a home. K9 units and police helicopters were at the scene. The man tried to escape by sliding down a palm tree but was quickly captured.
"I don't understand why they get up on the roofs in the first place but I don't know where he was going with the palm tree slide," said witness Ashlee Bradley.
There were no reports of injuries.
