Many people are looking for part-time summer jobs and there are a lot of job scams out there.

Whether you are a student on break or a retiree looking to keep busy, you need to watch out, especially if the job is posted on social media or online.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. And if the employer does not want to meet face-to-face, that is a huge red flag.

The easiest way to avoid getting scammed is to verify the company exists by checking with the Better Business Bureau. And, do not give them any personal information until you have checked out the company.
