The hundreds of victims hurt in the Las Vegas shooting will undoubtedly have emotional and physical wounds that could last a lifetime.

But the physical scars may be a little easier to manage with the help of a team of local plastic surgeons, who are now offering their services for free to any victim.

Alexandra Pettis visited the team at Plastic Surgery Vegas, after a bullet pierced through her chest and another grazed her arm Sunday night.

"I remember running and screaming and just remember looking at my arm," Pettis said.

Pettis recalls hiding behind a bar while a group of people protected the 19-year-old from any more bullets.

"Like three or four people put themselves on top of me 'cause I had already been shot twice," Pettis said.

Her boyfriend, who she attended the concert with, was also shot in the stomach. But as she tries to come to terms with what happened, the gash on her arm is a reminder she doesn't want to have to look at forever.

The plastic surgeons will be able to perform surgery and use a skin graft to help cover up the wound.

"It would be there forever, kind of like a reminder, so I think it will help having it look somewhat normal," Pettis said.

Another survivor who visited the plastic surgeon was Aaron Loghry, who was shot in the leg protecting his girlfriend.

"There are fragments stuck in my soft tissue," Loghry said.

Loghry is praising the plastic surgery team, for helping victims begin to heal.

"The emotional side of it is going to take a while to heal than the physical side, but it's still a pretty wonderful thing," Loghry said.
