Oscar parties as just as much fun as the big night. But did you know that you can have those star-studded affairs right at home?

I went Around Town to find some of the best appetizers, cocktails and desserts to make your at-home event an award-winning bash.

With the help of Freed’s Bakery and The Stove Restaurant in Henderson, I found the perfect treats that you can recreate. Or, for those short on time (or baking skills like me), you can easily pick up items from the store.

Chef Antonio Nunez of The Stove, known as Henderson’s “Kitchen Social,” shared a couple of recipes to taste, and cocktails to toast with during your at-home Oscar party.

The appetizer bites included:
-- Deviled Eggs
-- Crab and Artichoke Dip
-- Caviar duo & Blini Pancakes

(I suggest the catering route for these dishes).

And for the cocktails, Chef Antonio shared recipes that you can recreate:

CLASSIC MANHATTAN
-- 4.5 oz. Sake Bourbon
-- .25 oz Syrup (Maple Syrup will do)
-- 1.5 oz Dry Vermouth
-- 2 Drops of Orange Bitters
-- Amaretto Syrup
-- Garnish with a Cherries
STIR & SERVE!

WAKE UP CALL (ADULT COFFEE)
-- Ice
-- 5 oz Coffee Sake (or Sake Dripped through Coffee Grounds)
-- .75 oz Amaretto
-- .75 oz Vanilla Cream
-- 1 oz. Simple Syrup
-- Spoon out Foam into mug
STRAIN & SERVE!

Happy Academy Awards 2019… And see you soon Around Town!
