People living in an apartment complex near UNLV are fed up with a nearby homeless camp that they say is resulting in increased crime in the area.

The camp has grown over the last few weeks. Initially, there were only a couple of tents. Now there are 10 or more.

Only a brick wall separates the homeless camp from the apartment complex near Maryland Parkway and Katie Avenue.

13 Action News spoke to Ron Rissler who says that he doesn't like the homeless people to be so close to his home. He is also worried about the increased crime.

We also spoke to Don Glenn, who lives in the camp.

He says that most of the people who live there are peaceful but admits the police have been called to the camp because of complaints about garbage and loud noises.

A manager at the apartment complex told 13 Action News that they are aware of the camp and is dealing with the issue.
