Facing an investigation from the House Ethics Committee on allegations of sexual misconduct, Democratic Representative Ruben Kihuen has announced on Saturday that he will not seek re-election after he finishes out his term in Congress.

The Nevada representative has called the allegations against him "unsubstantiated hearsay and innuendo" in a statement released to the press. He also said that he is "fully cooperating with the House Ethics Committee" in hopes of clearing his name.

House Democratic Leader, Nancy Pelosi, urged Kihuen to resign after the allegations were first brought up in a report by BuzzFeed News. The report claimed a campaign staffer quit after receiving multiple unwanted advances.

Another woman also claims that Kihuen touched her thighs or buttocks on multiple occasions, according to a report from the Nevada Independent.
