911 calls associated with a deadly fire in August have been released.
The fire happened at the Solaire Apartments on Karen Avenue. One person was killed in the fire.
After the fire, it was discovered that the apartment complex, which was build 30 years ago, doesn't meet current fire codes. However, it was grandfathered in.
Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani said at the time that she would push to have that loophole closed.

However, Giunchigliani now says says county leaders don't have the authority to require the owner at the Solaire Apartments to meet the current code unless the building is demolished and rebuilt under the new code. The good news is that the owner reportedly claimed that they plan to do just that.
