A 65-year-old man is dead after a crash around 10 p.m. Saturday that happened near Losee and Washburn roads.
According to North Las Vegas police, an SUV was traveling northbound on Losee Road when a dark-colored 4-door sedan crashed into it from behind. This caused the SUV to slightly rear-end a light-colored sedan in front of it.
The SUV and dark-colored sedan went off the roadway where the came to a rest in the desert area.
Medical personnel transported the driver of the dark sedan and the driver of the SUV to the hospital, where the SUV driver succumbed to his injuries. The man killed has been identified as Jerry Burns. He died of multiple blunt force injuries.
The driver of the light sedan had minor injuries and was not transported.
Police believe speed and alcohol are suspected to be factors in this case.
This is the 7th vehicle fatality in North Las Vegas in 2018.
