In stores now you’ll find two different Oreos to celebrate the characters Queen Poppy and newborn Pop Troll Tiny Diamond. Queen Poppy cookies feature pink-colored creme with edible glitter, while Tiny Diamond cookies have green-colored creme with glitter and popping candy.
Each pack also includes three fun cookie designs tailored to the pack’s featured character, like headphones and a guitar for Poppy and a record and cassette tape for Diamond. Both packs also contain cookies that say “Music is Life.”
While the film, which is a sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s 2016 musical hit “Trolls,” won’t be in theaters until April, the Oreos are already on store shelves and should be around at least through the film’s release.
Oreo isn’t the only brand getting in on the “Trolls” fun. Lay’s is also celebrating the movie release, with new packaging for their Poppables chips and a contest that is giving fans a chance to win Fandango tickets to see the film. One winner will even get tickets for their own “World Tour” of six music festivals.
The new packages are in stores now and include on-pack codes that can be entered at Poppables.com. While only one person will win the grand prize of going to music festivals, 68 people will win free movie tickets.
Earlier this year, Pillsbury also released new cookies to celebrate the film. The new Pillsbury Shape Limited Edition Trolls Sugar Cookie Dough is shaped like characters from the movie, complete with brightly colored hair.
The cookies bake in 8-10 minutes and are ready to go just like that or you can add some extra decoration, if you wish. Each pack has 12 pre-cut, ready-to-bake cookies that can go right in the oven. Each box also comes with a fun activity for families to do together while waiting for the cookies to bake.
