In addition, the Consumer Product Safety Commission says it has received 8 reports of people showing up in an emergency room seeking treatment for injuries associated with the hoverboards.

Safety experts say that riders should wear a helmet, wrist guards and knee pads. Also, they suggest that riders have someone spot them the first few times they use one of the boards.
