LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Sassy and Cleo are senior dogs that are bonded and need to be adopted together after their owner passed away.
Their rescuers, Vegas Pet Rescue Project, sent us this description of the two:
"We just pulled this adorable pair from the shelter the day before yesterday, so we’re still getting to know them. The little Dachshund is Cleo and her bigger sister is Sassy. They are seniors and need a lot of medical work, so we would ideally love to find a foster to adopt for both. They are bonded so they need to be in a home together. They ended up in the shelter because their owners ended up in the hospital and there was no one who could take care of them. They both need senior dental work and blood work. They both have some arthritis. Cleo, the Dachshund, will need surgery done on her mouth. She also appears to have a skin condition with hair loss, which could be due to a number of things, from thyroid issues, to Cushing’s, or just plain allergies. Regardless, it is going to take a lot of treatments and funds to get these two sweets girls the care that they need and deserve."
