A new study that says reducing the time that children spend looking at screens can boost brainpower.
The study followed more than 4,500 children in the U.S. between the ages of 8 and 11.
It tracked their screen time, physical activity and sleep.
Researchers found that children who spent more than 2 hours a day looking at phones, tablets and televisions performed worse on memory, language and thinking tests than those who spent less time on various devices.
The study bolsters the evidence that shows too much time spent looks at screens can hurt growing minds.
