Brad Pitt is no stranger to home renovations. He and Jennifer Aniston reportedly spent three years renovating their 12,000-square-foot 1930s mansion in Los Angeles, and Pitt later remodeled the vast French property he owned with Angelina Jolie, the 14th-century Chateau Miraval.

But for the actor’s latest renovation project, Pitt handed the reins to the Property Brothers, aka Drew and Jonathan Scott. And it’s not Pitt’s own home they made over. According to Vanity Fair, the brothers worked on a Santa Monica home owned by Jean Ann Black, Pitt’s long-standing friend and makeup artist, in the first episode of “Celebrity IOU,” a new HGTV series that sees celebrities making renovations happen for their friends and family.

Pitt wanted Black to get a proper makeup table for her clients and more space for guests, and the Scott brothers are the guys to make it happen.

Future episodes of the show will feature Melissa McCarthy, Viola Davis, Rebel Wilson, Jeremy Renner and Michael Bublé, per Hollywood Reporter.

As for the Scott brothers, they’re doing what they do best — and loving every minute of it. They also had a special shout-out to the A-listers who took part in the show.

“It’s amazing to see someone who is extremely successful be grounded enough to always remember the people who helped them get there,” Jonathan told Hollywood Reporter.

“Being a part of this show really hits home for us,” added Drew. “This is what we love to do, transforming people’s lives through their homes.”

The duo shared a preview of the show on their Instagram page on March 10.

“Celebrity IOU” airs Mondays at 9 pm on HGTV, with Pitt’s episode kicking off the series on April 13. Plus, full episodes of the show will run on HGTV GO the same day and time as the linear premieres.

HGTV has provided plenty of entertainment for those of us trying to limit our exposure to the coronavirus by spending time at home — and the network has even added bonus content in an effort to encourage viewers to hang out inside with their families.

In a video posted to the HGTV Instagram page, one of the Property Brothers, Jonathan Scott, teams up with Zooey Deschanel to read aloud the Property Brothers’ children’s book.

Even if your home hasn’t been renovated by A-listers and HGTV stars, it’s advisable to stay put and enjoy the many entertainment options available at this unusual time.
