LAS VEGAS (KTNV) - A female pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night.
The crash was reported around 10:30 p.m. near Spring Mountain Road and Stober Boulevard, which is between Arville Street and Decatur Boulevard. Police said the pedestrian was crossing Spring Mountain and stopped in a travel lane when she was hit by a gray sedan.
An eyewitness told 13 Action News that the pedestrian was wearing dark clothes and was jaywalking when she was hit.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police do not suspect alcohol or speed to be factors in the crash.
The road is expected to be closed in the area for at least another hour.
