A study by PropertyShark reveals that the median sale price of a home in Glenbrook was $1,574,887, making it the most expensive zip code for 2016 in Nevada.
With zip code 89413, Glenbrook sits on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe. It also has the distinction of being the 56th priciest community in the United States.
The second and third most expensive zip codes in the Silver State, Zephyr Cove's 89448 and Incline Village's 89451, are also near Lake Tahoe. Their median sale prices are $725,000 and $593,750 respectively.
That's not to say Southern Nevada lacks upscale properties. Las Vegas has 19 out of the 50 most valuable zip codes. The priciest in Las Vegas is 89158, near Rancho and Vegas Drives, with a median sale price of $432,000.
The largest residential transaction also took place in Las Vegas. A home located at 1625 Enclave Court in the Summerlin area fetched a whopping $17.5 million.
