Rogers Foundation calling on CCSD schools to be sanctuary schools

The Rogers Foundation is calling on all Clark County School District schools to declare themselves as sanctuary schools.

That means that the schools would agree not to turn in any of its students who are in the country illegally.

The call comes one day after a petition started circulating to designate UNLV as a sanctuary school.

The Rogers Foundation held a press conference on Wednesday to announce their intention. They say it is in response to the state of fear and uncertainty among students that has been created by the President-elect's threats to civil rights.
