It's going to take more than one 'bang' to bring the Rivera to its knees.
If approved by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Riviera would have two separate implosions.
Two towers, Monte Carlo and Monaco would be imploded in June and August. The recommendation is expected to be brought to the LVCVA's monthly board meeting April 12.
If this is approved, work on the Riviera is expected to start April 15.
