In addition, a GoFundMe has been set up for 4-year-old Nova and his mother's medical expenses.
UPDATE JULY 27 7 P.M.: 13 Action News spoke to the neighbor who rushed to help a 4-year-old boy after he was fatally stabbed by his father Wednesday.
Alex Strmiska said he heard screaming coming from his neighbor's home and ran over to see what was happening.
"I noticed the mom and the boy in the doorway just covered in blood," Strmiska said.

Police say Tyler Knaub, 4-year-old Nova's father, forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's home, before bounding her and their son with zip ties and stabbing them multiple times.
"There were black zip ties around her hand still and the little boy was just unconscious, bleeding," Strmiska said.
Strmiska said while he tried to get the family to a nearby car, the boy's mother told him her attacker was still in the home.
"She said that mother (blank) is still in there get that mother (blank)," Strmiska said.
Police believe Knaub died from apparent self-inflicted stab wounds.
UPDATE JULY 27: The 4-year-old child fatally stabbed by his father in Wednesday's murder-suicide has been identified as Nova Knaub by the Las Vegas coroner.
Another family member arrived at the home just after the two victims were stabbed, called police and drove the victims to the hospital.
The investigation indicated the suspect ran into a room in the house where he was later found deceased by officers from apparent self-inflicted stab wounds.
LATEST: Police say the victims were restrained with zip ties. The body of the killer was discovered in the bathroom. It's believed he stabbed himself. Detectives said there was one prior domestic violence incident in 2015. The investigation is ongoing.
ORIGINAL: Las Vegas police are investigating the stabbing of a woman and a 4-year-old boy in a neighborhood near W. Pebble Road and S. Durango Drive.
According to LVMPD, the woman's estranged ex-boyfriend forced his way inside the residence and stabbed both victims before fatally stabbing himself.
The boy was transported to Southern Hills Hospital where the 4-year-old succumbed to his injuries. The child's mother was transported to UMC and is still alive. We're told she was stabbed in the head and neck but expected to survive.
The coroner's office will release the identity of the deceased once family members have been notified.
