Here is a roundup of all of the breaking news around the Las Vegas valley for July 1, 2017.

8:45 P.M.

A vehicle crashed through a gate near East Tropicana Avenue and Koval Lane around 8:45 p.m. The driver attempted to leave the scene by running across the tarmac at McCarran International Airport but was apprehended by police. The suspect had minor injuries and was possibly intoxicated. A runway had to be shut down until about 11 p.m. but there were no delays to airlines because of the incident. Authorities do not believe the incident was terror related.

7:02 P.M.

Las Vegas police responded to an accident with injury in the 5200 block of South Fort Apache Road near West Tropicana Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. When they arrived they found an elderly man laying unconscious outside his vehicle. The accident appears to involve only one car and one victim. The man was transported to the hospital where he died.

5:24 P.M.

Firefighters are battling a 1-story house fire at 304 Bedford Road, near Charleston Boulevard. No injuries have been reported at this time.

1:29 P.M.

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car at an apartment complex at 5905 West Charleston Boulevard. Around 1:23 p.m. a silver, 4-door sedan hit the pedestrian, who became lodged under the vehicle. The sedan did not stop. The pedestrian separated from the vehicle near the complex exit to Charleston Boulevard. He was taken to UMC Trauma once medical staff arrived.

1:23 P.M.

One person is dead after a crash at the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue. Around 4:46 a.m. a black Chevrolet Silverado hit a Dodge minivan, causing the Dodge to rotate counterclockwise and come to rest against a wooden utility pole. The crash caused the Chevrolet to flip on its top. The female driver of the Dodge was taken to the hospital and was declared deceased, while the male driver was arrested on DUI charges after being treated for his injuries. 

On July 2, the Clark County Coroner identified the victim of this crash as 55-year-old Kathleen Dolan. Her city of residence was not listed.

4:46 A.M.

Fatal crash near Hacienda Avenue and Jones Boulevard. No other information available at this time.

OVERNIGHT

Police discovered a man's body at a residence near West Pebble Road and Durango Drive. The body was discovered around 11:30 p.m. At this time, it is not known how the man died and no one has been arrested.
